Emmanuel Baptist Church’s Turning point Counseling Ministry held their first mental health conference. Focusing on the the different forms of mental health, and informed the community about the resources and ways to support themselves, family and loved ones who face mental health issues.

The conference provided different themed groups, each person could join through out the day. Which gave people a safe space to have a dialogue about mental health issues. There was even a group dedicated for preteens and teenagers, which focused on breaking down how young people understand mental health.

EBC provided a safe space for people of all demographics to have the conversation around mental health and not feel ashamed. The conference provided a panel of professional therapist and educators. With a special guest appearance from Jill Marie Jones from the TV show “Girlfriends”
